These terms apply to your use of dunlapfamilydentistry.com, operated by Dunlap Family Dentistry. By using this website or submitting a request through it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

An appointment request is not an appointment

Submitting the form on this site starts a conversation. It does not book, hold, or confirm an appointment time. Your appointment exists only once a member of our team has confirmed it with you directly.

No medical advice, and no emergencies

Everything on this site is general information about dentistry. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for being examined. Nothing here creates a dentist and patient relationship.

Do not use this website for an emergency. If you are having a medical emergency, if you have facial swelling that affects your breathing or vision, or if you have uncontrolled bleeding, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For urgent dental problems, call (518) 762-4321.

Text messaging (SMS) terms

What the program is

Dunlap Family Dentistry sends text messages through Dental Intelligence, the patient communication platform our office uses. Messages relate to your care with us and may include appointment reminders and confirmations, replies to messages you send us, reminders that you are due for a visit, links to patient forms, billing and payment requests, and occasional requests for feedback after a visit.

How you join

You join by checking the text message consent box on our appointment request form and giving us your mobile number, or by telling a member of our team at the office that you would like to be texted. The box on our website is never checked for you, and you can submit the form without checking it.

The terms of the program

  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving care or of any purchase.
  • Message frequency varies based on your appointment activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier, not us, sets those rates.
  • Reply STOP at any time to cancel. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and then no further messages.
  • Reply HELP for help, or call the office at (518) 762-4321.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Text messages are not a secure or private channel. Please do not send us detailed medical information by text.
  • Do not use text messaging for anything urgent. If a situation is urgent, call the office. If it is an emergency, call 911.

How we handle the mobile number you give us is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Using this site

You agree not to misuse this website. That includes not attempting to gain unauthorized access to it, not interfering with how it works for other people, not scraping it to build a competing service, and not submitting false information or another person’s information through our forms.

Our content

The text, photographs, design, and logo on this site belong to Dunlap Family Dentistry or are used with permission. Please do not copy or republish them without asking us first. You are welcome to link to any page on this site.

We sometimes link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or their practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here limits our professional responsibilities to you as a patient.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to this website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated terms.
